Presidenthas advised the people of Kasama Central not to vote for the opposition in the forth-coming Parliamentary by elections.
Mr. Banda says it is important for the people of Kasama Central to realize that the opposition cannot deliver on its promise because it is not the party in power.

President Banda said this when he addressed Movement for Multi-party Democracy (MMD) provincial leadership in Kasama today.
He said Dr. Chishimba was unable to deliver on his promises because his former party the PF is not in power.
He described the PF as only a talking hot air that should not be listened to.
Mr. Banda said the PF is like a man promising a woman promises which he can not fulfill while the MMD is like a humble man who proposes marriage to a woman who should use her wisdom to accept.
He said the ruling party has delivered its election campaign promises adding this can be seen by everybody.
He pointed out that one of the notable developments was the construction of a multi-million Kwacha bridge near Paramount Chief Chitimukulu’s palace.

And a number of PF members have defected to the ruling MMD.
The former PF members where received by President Banda this morning in Kasama.
And speaking at the same occasion MMD National Chairman Michael Mabenga said the party needs to realize the importance of working towards a common good.
Mr. Mabenga urged the MMD leadership and members to stop finger pointing and avoid putting pressure on President Banda who is also MMD Acting President.
He has advised them to follow the correct procedure of airing their grievances rather than directly writing to the President.
Mr. Mabenga said whenever there are problem in the party the members should know where to report the problems.
He said MMD was going through difficult times hence could not risk being disorganized.
He advised the MMD leadership in the province to get organized and help President Banda sail through in 2011.
And speaking earlier, MMD provincial Chairperson Grievers Sikasote said time had come for the party in the province to change its tactics to win the forth-coming Kasama parliamentary by election.
Mr. Sikasote said there was need for members in the party to be discipline if this was to be realized.
He said the MMD will replicate the Chitambo by –election victory into Kasama Central to catch the opposition by surprise.
