President Edgar Lungu’s Advisor for politics Kaiser Zulu on Sunday evening commandeered a horde of Patriotic Front (PF) cadres in beating up police officers from Chilanga.
Eye witnesses told the Zambian Watchdog that the drunken Kaiser Zulu was upset with the police who rushed to the accident seen where he had a head on collision with another vehicle.
“After the rally addressed by the President Kaiser was involved in an accident.
It was very clear that Kaiser was drunk and he literally rammed in another vehicle which had the right of way:
” When the police got to the scene, they tried to reason but they found KZ trying to change the plates and they didn’t know so that’s how they accosted him. It is at this point he called cadres who upon arrival started beating the officer including the officer in charge,” said the police source who sought anonymity.
Zulu, according to the source threatened the officer in charge that he would deal with all the officers at Chilanga police post accusing them of being opposition sympatisers.
“Do you know me? Do you know that I can have you fired immediately. I can shoot you and nothing will happen to me,” Zulu is said to have been boasting.
Efforts to get a comment from Zulu failed ashis mobile phone went unanswered.
Meanwhile sources at UTH where the other person in the accident was rushed say he is in a critical condition.
