‘Drunk’ with State House bribes, MMD NEC expels Mutati

Nevers Mumba’s MMD faction has expelled Lunte Member of Parliament Felix Mutati with immediate effect.
And the MMD National Executive Committee -NEC- has unanimously voted under the influence of State House bribes that the proposed alliance with the Patriotic Front -PF- should commence immediately.
MMD leader, Nevers Mumba confirmed the developments to the PF controlled ZNBC News in a telephone interview this evening (Tuesday).
Dr. Mumba said the decisions were arrived at during a NEC meeting held at Konzani Gardens in Lusaka West area of Lusaka as was earlier revealed by the Zambian Watchdog.
He said Mr. Mutati has been expelled for his allegedly double-dealing as he has been secretly working with the UPND and that he is listed on a 2016 ‘UPND calendar’ as a party official.
Dr. Mumba said the party has also suspended its spokesperson, Raphael Nakachinda pending investigations by the Disciplinary Committee into allegations that he has been working against the party.
He said the MMD NEC unanimously resolved to suspend Mr. Nakachinda after prima facie evidence was presented in the meeting that he has received money to work against the party with known individuals.
And Dr. Mumba said during the meeting, National Secretary, Mwansa Mbulakulima apologised to the NEC for any misunderstandings his recent statements concerning the proposed MMD-PF alliance may have caused.
Mutati has not yet responded to the PF engineered expulsion.
Outgoing President Edgar Lungu is desperate for an alliance with the MMD and bankrolled the MMD NEC meeting to ensure they get rid of all members who want the party to go for a convention to elect the Party president.
