Dutchman accused of paying Zambian girls to have sex with dogs finally named

THE case in which a Kalulushi expatriate worker, Evert Jan Wolf, has been accused of coercing a girl to have sex with his dog has been moved from  Ndola magistrate to Kitwe due to the jurisdiction of Kalulushi being under Kitwe.
The Dutchman Wolf appeared in the Ndola magistrate court yesterday with his co-accused 17-year-old Mary Mumba for a scheduled mention.
But magistrate Katrina Walubita referred the matter to the Kitwe magistrate, saying Kalulushi was nearer to Kitwe than Ndola.
The matter was heard in chambers.
Wolf is alleged to have been luring young girls into having sex with his dog after drugging them.
Last year, Kalulushi residents fought running battles with the police and threatened to burn Wolf’s house after a 15-year-old girl said she had been subjected to having sex with a dog by Wolf and Mary Mumba.
However, after almost three months of eluding the police, Wolf was arrested and released on bond, a move that infuriated various sections of the society.
The duo is expected to appear in the Kitwe magistrate court on Friday, February 24, 2011.
After releasing Wolf on bond, the police came under fire from members of the public, who accused them of being reluctant to prosecute the matter.
