E.U confident of peaceful polls in Zambia

The European Union (EU) has said it is possible for Zambia to hold peaceful and credible polls on September 20 as the country’s history tells of the same.
Speaking on hot FM’s hot seat program EU Deputy Chief Observer David Ward said peace has always prevailed in the country and should not be traded for acts of violence as such will only destroy the Zambia.
Ward said is it is great to see Civil Society Organizations and the general public championing peace and tranquility as such should be observed at all times.
He also noted that the forthcoming elections are highly competitive and judgment should be reserved as it is difficult to point out who will emerge victorious.
Ward appealed to citizens to vote wisely and ensure they maintain the spirit of unity as the elections are a determinant of the country’s future.
