The Electoral Commission of Zambia-ECZ says all political players must reach an agreement before the Electoral Code of Conduct is submitted for enactment into law.
ECZ Public Relationss Manager Cris Akufuna told ZNBC news in an interview Monday that the Commission has called for a stakeholders consultative meeting were the submissions made will be discussed.
He said the meeting scheduled for October 4-8, 2010 will take place in Livingstone.
He added that the Electoral Code of Conduct will only be submitted for enactment into law after the review process is completed.
The Zambia Centre for Inter-Party Dialogue (ZCID) National Political Parties Conference on Sunday called for the enactment of the Electoral Code of Conduct into law before next year’s general elections.
