Edgar Lungu used Nsanda’s vehicle to collect $15,000 bribe from Mulungushi Textiles

President Edgar Lungu’s errand boy Emmanuel Chilubanama used late Road Development Agency board chairman Willie Nsanda’s vehicle to go and collect Lungu’s $15,000 from Gulam Dewji, the chairman of the Tanzanian firm that has taken over Mulungushi Textiles.

Our perusal into government files have revealed that the Toyota Land Cruiser Prado Registration number ALX 1443 is the official vehicle for the late Nsanda and that the same vehicle was reportedly involved in a minor accident during the convention. We challenge Chilubanama who has since been rewarded with the appointment as Permanent secretary at State house to deny this.

Chilubanama, accompanied by two other officials entered the gates of Mulungushi Textiles at 19:30 on 28th November, 2014 and collected the money from Dewji’s agent Aurora Singh. Dewji’s Mohammed Enterprises Textiles Limited (METL) has been given a lease to run the giant textile industry but the firm has failed and has now resorted to importing fertiliser and stripping the factory machinery.
