First lady Esther Lungu’s stay in Central province where she is parading mobile hospitals services is costing government not less than K50,000 per day, a source within the team has disclosed.

Lungu’s wife has been aimlessly trotting the country dishing out huge sums of money to some vulnerable community members. Because of an unplanned visit to Itezhi Tezhi district, Esther Lungu spiced up her trip by commandeering the mobile hospitals unit to the area.

“The mobile hospital trucks were not supposed to be in Itezhi Tezhi, they were doing the service in Mpima and ended on Friday but on Saturday she directed that they be driven here with all the stuff. That requires about 40 people with an average allowance of K600 per night, the fuel and the food altogether comes up to about K50,000 per day”, said the source.

After being in Itezhi Tezhi for three days, she is currently in Ngabwe district and has shifted the entire provincial administration to the area. The mobile hospital trucks are also there in spite of the trip not having been planned in advance.
