EU gives Zambia $88.8m for roads

The European Union (EU) has signed a contract with Zambia for the rehabilitation of the nation’s road network.

The €70m ($88.8m) contract will involve the periodic maintenance of trunk and main roads.

The Zambian Government is currently going through a feasibility study for road tolling, road links and bridges.

The EU financial support, which is through the European Development Fund, will be released through the government budget.
