Evelyn Hone college students demonstrate against government

Barely a week after UNZA students demonstrated over prolonged closure of the University and unemployed youths rioted over nepotism and corruption in the military recruitments, students at Evelyn Hone College have staged demonstrations.

The students at the biggest college in the country are accusing the government of neglecting the college.

The students started demonstrating last night and have since locked all the gates to the college.

The students want new busses for the college and completion of abandoned hostel building construction.

The students vowed not to go back to classes and were Wednesday morning regrouping to continue the demonstrations.

The University of Zambia great East road is still closed.

Evelyn Hone College was opened in 1963. To date it is the largest public  institution of learning in Zambia among the twenty fiveT institutions under the Ministry of Science, Technology and Vocational Training (MSTVT).

It ranks  3rd  only to the University of Zambia (UNZA) and the Copperbelt University (CBU) respectively.
