Ex-workers at new Lusaka stadium engage UPND over benefits

Former construction workers at the New Lusaka stadium have asked United Party for National Development – UPND leader Hakainde Hichilema to intervene in their plight of pursuing payments of terminal benefits.

The workers claim that their terminal benefits have never been paid even after pressing government.

The former workers said this when they marched to the UPND secretariat to protest on the non-payment of the benefits.

Government has since contracted Shanghai construction group, to construct the 94 million dollar New Lusaka Stadium.
