The executive committee of Zambia’s soccer governing body has thrown out a demand by affiliates that a vote of no confidence should be included on the agenda during its annual general meeting scheduled for later this month.
Soccer opposition leader, Simataa Simataa says the FAZ executive had thrown out the no-confidence demand on the grounds that it was not provided for in the constitution.
“They have thrown the vote of no confidence motion from the agenda. They are saying that it is not in the constitution. It is strange that at FIFA they had no problems accepting the directive but now they are ready to defy FIFA, the only people that have stood by them,” Simataa was quoted as saying by the Post on Saturday.
