Fifteen fishermen who went to catch fish on Lake Tanganyika have gone missing after their fishing boat encountered rough waters.
Relatives of the missing people have confirmed the incident.
According to relatives, the fishermen went fishing on Monday but did not return the following day.
Three members of the crew have however survived the accident.
Police sources also confirmed the accident and some police officers have since been sent on the Lake to carry out investigations.
Sources said the accident happened around Kapembwa village when the fishing vessel encountered strong winds.
Meanwhile three houses have been gutted in kabatwe village of Mpulungu district.
This incident happened after one of the fish traders was drying fish by using smoke method which later ignited fire to gut three houses in the area due to strong winds .
Millions of kwacha Household goods were burnt to ashes.
