FODEP urges oppostion parties to unite

Foundation for Democratic Process (FODEP) Executive Director McDonald Chipenzi has called on opposition political parties in the Zambia to unite if they are to offer constructive criticism to the Michael Sata regime.

Chipenzi told the watchdog that the opposition has a huge task of ensuring that the Patriotic Front (PF) government delivers on its promises made to the voters prior to the elections.

He advised individuals in the opposition to work in harmony and support policies that will benefit the people of Zambia and foster development.

Chipenzi urged members of political parties not to defect and join the ruling PF, but stay in their parties and continue to provide checks and balances.

The FODEP Executive Director said it is vital that the opposition members remain focused and ensure that political dispensation is promoted in the country.
