Former DEC boss Zulu arrested and denied police bond

Former Drug Enforcement Commission (DEC) Commissioner Aaron Zulu has been arrested.

Police sources have disclosed that Zulu was arrested Tuesday evening after long hours of questioning.

It is not yet very clear what he has been charged with but sources say he has not been charged with theft of gold but ‘abuse of authority?

Zulu has been denied police bond and has been detained at Woodlands police station. He is expected to be taken to court tomorrow.

On October 18, a combined team comprising officers from the Drug Enforcement Commission (DEC), the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) and the Zambia Police (ZP) summoned former DEC Chief, Aaron Zulu over the Gold which president Sata said was stolen.

He was fired earlier in October.
