Former Malambo MP Mwale officially joins UPND

MaxwellIgnoring the hate speeches by Fred M’emembe, the UPND has officially received former Malambo MP Maxwell Mwale into their party.

Malambo constituency is in Eastern Province. UPND president Hakainde Hichilema personally welcomed Mwale at the party secretariat.

According to UPND sources, the former minister of mines will be the UPND candidate for the forthcoming by-election in Malambo.

The PF will feature Kaweche Kaunda, another son former Dictator Kenneth Kaunda. Kaweche lost to Mwale in 2011 and that was not his first time to lose.
Mr. Mwale joined the UPND together with NAREP National Youth Chairman David Chikwanda and former Communications Authority Union president a Mr Kaonga at press briefing addressed by party vice-president for politics Dr. Canisius Banda.
Mr. Mwale, whose Malambo seat was recently nullified by the Supreme court, immediately declared his intention to defend his seat in Eastern province under the opposition UPND if adopted.
In welcoming Mr. Mwale, Dr. Banda UPND was a growing and very accommodating political that was assured of victory and running the country back on economic tract in 2016.
He said the PF was a party for political liers who will never deliver on anything as evidenced by the now shortage of ARVs in a the major hospitals and clinics in the country.
“Never should the country again be moved to vote people based on political deceit as was the case in 2011 when PF narrowly won elections,” he said.

Meanwhile, the Watchdog understands that the opposition UPND and MMD will share the forthcoming by-elections to be held in four constituencies.

According to information received, the UPND will contest Malambo and Mulobezi in Western province while the MMD will defend Mkaika and Petauke Central in Eastern Province.
