Former Northern province Permanent secretary Gabriel Kaunda has joined the tight race to contest the Kasama central parliamentary seat on PF, others are High Commissioner to South Africa Emmanuel Mwamba and businessman Kelvin Sampa.

All the three candidates have since doing underground campaigns with Mwamab and sampa making huge donations to constituents. Kaunda also locally known as Gabby has little finances to splash but is riding on the ‘home grown’ slogan.

PF are in search of a candidate who can challenge the current MP Geoffrey Bwalya Mwamba (GBM) if he decides to contest on another party ticket. The party is shaken by GBM’s popularity and financial muscle and wants to do everything possible to ensure that he loses.

In the next few days, Watchdog will avail more information and analyse the three candidates, Emmanuel, Kelvin and Gabriel.
