Former UPND MP resigns from party

img_1859Former Bweengwa UPND Member of Parliament Highvie Hamududu has resigned from the party.
According to sources at the UPND secretariat, the former legislator has since written to UPND president Hakainde Hichilema and the party leadership about his decsion
“He says he doesn’t beleive in the kind of politics that is being played now. So he has decided to take a backstage,” said the source
However those close to Hamududu say he has never forgiven the opposition party leadership after he was not readopted in 2016.
Hamududu is one of the MPS that the Patriotic Front were targeting to recruit. There are reports that Shortly after the elections Edgar Lungu offered Hamududu the position of Finance Minister which he rejected. The position was later offered to Felix Mutati.
