Four Police Officers stationed at  Mwansa Kapwepwe Police Station are this morning expected to appear for interrogations at Police Headquarters room 216 for alleged stealing K1 million belonging to an ally of State House Political Advisor Kaizer Zulu.

According to information obtained  by the Zambian Watchdog from the Police Intelligence Community, the four Police Officers picked up one Indian and one Pakistani they found  dealing in Gold behind Manda Hill Shopping Mall illegally.

Upon finding them in the act, the Police officers picked them and one of the officers Patrick Changwe drove the suspects’ vehicle a Toyota Mark X to the Police Station and detained the suspects.

Soon after detaining the two suspects, the Officer In Charge for the Police Station received a phone call from the Inspector General of police instructing them to release the suspects without any delay.

According to information, the two suspects were released and handed back K690, 000 which the Police found in the car and was signed for by the suspects.

However, a day after being released, the two foreigners who according to the sources are actually illegally in Zambia claimed that they had lost K1million and reported the matter to the Police headquarters.

‘ The funny thing is that the officers are ready to go to court but the complainants do not want that because they know that it will turn into money laundering,” one source said.

This happened on May 22. 2018 around 17hrs.
