ABZ leader Fr Frank Bwalya says his party is on a countrywide mass recruitment exercise and is receiving many members from the PF and has described ailing dictator Michael Sata as a task leader who can only carry out a given task under supervision.
Speaking to the Watchdog, after his two days stay in Kabwe, the ABZ leader said Sata represents leadership of the past and cannot be expected to carry out anything innovative. He said the campaign promises were all lies.
“The promises about reopening Mulungushi Textiles, Zambia Railways relocation, roads rehabilitation were all lies, kubeja, bufi, but people now in 2016 have credible alternatives in UPND,NAREP, ABZ, ADD,PP to mention but a few,” said Fr. Bwalya.
“Mr. Sata is a task leader who can only perform a given task under supervision and after being given such a task, he must be removed from the situation… he is like a footballer who shouts for the ball and after passing the ball to him, he traps it but does not know what to do with it, so as ABZ, we want to get that ball from him and score on behalf of Zambians,” said the ABZ leader, in apparent reference to Sata’s visionless leadership which has led the country to bankruptcy.
Meanwhile PF Kabwe district youth Treasurer Martin Chilufya has resigned from the party with immediate effect, he says he will make his next political position known soon but reliable sources have told the Watchdog that Chilufya is one of the many PF members in Kabwe defecting to the ABZ.
“The ongoing standoff between the MPs and the party and poor performance by government is what is frustrating us, today again we are having a meeting trying to resolve the impasses, so watch the space for mass defections, PF will also dance Pelete,” said a senior provincial leader in the party.
