Fr. Bwalya should be truthful over registration of his party- Chief registrar

The Registrar of Societies has refuted claims by outspoken Catholic Priest Frank Bwalya that he is being blocked from having his newly formed political party the Alliance for a Better Zambia (ABZ) registered.

Chief Registrar of Societies, Kakoma Kanganja, says the delay for ABZ’s registration is a liability of Fr. Bwalya as he has not yet returned to the Registrar of Societies to finalize the registration two weeks after he made the submission for registration.

Mr. Kanganja charged that it is unfair for a man of God to lie as Fr. Bwalya has been allegely suggesting that he is been blocked when in fact he is aware of the requirements needed to finalize the registration.

Mr. Kanganja has maintained that the society will not in any way block any individuals from registering their political party or society regardless of their political views.

He said if the Fr. Bwalya really intends to have his political party registered he should make a return visit to the Society’s office and finalize the registration
