PF Central committee member Frank Bwalya has said the destitution of the miners who have lost jobs due to mine closures is because they were financially indisciplined as evidenced by their carelessness in getting loans, which has led them to remaining with little net pay after terminal benefits.
Speaking on a live KNC radio program in Kabwe, Bwalya said that it is because of the miners’ indiscriminate borrowing that President Edgar Lungu decided to give the miners a tax free K18,000. He said that the copper prices are likely to rise again and warned that when the miners are re engaged they must avoid excessive borrowing.
During the same program Bwalya confirmed that Vice President Inonge Wina was appointed vice president because of the role she played in convening the controversial PF convention which saw Lungu elected by show of hands contrary to the use of the ballot.
And responding to a caller who condemned him for strangling a chicken to death during a PF rally, Bwalya said he had no apologies over that and that he would continue to do ‘strange things’. He also said that there was nothing wrong with him rejoining PF because late President Michael Sata’s death had brought him closer to the party.
Bwalya spent most of the airtime demonising UPND president hakainde hichilema and his vice for administration Geoffrey Bwalya Mwamba popularly known as GBM. He said PF would win the 2016 elections because President Edgar Lungu has continued to ‘create more jobs’ for Zambians.
