Frank Bwalya says president Banda is a hypocrite who wished Bishop Duffy dead

Father Frank Bwalya says the Catholic Church will not allow to be mocked by president Rupiah Banda and the MMD by issuing hypocritical statements following the death of late former Mongu diocese Catholic Bishop, Paul Duffy.
Father Bwalya says President Banda and the MMD should instead be rejoicing over the death of Bishop Duffy because that was there wish.He says the MMD should not pretend to be thoughtful about the death of the Catholic Bishop when a senior party member, Chiko Chibale, is on record publicly announcing that the party on the copperbelt was dispatching its militia to kill Bishop Duffy.

He tells QFM in a telephone interview that President Banda is at liberty to go for Bishop Duffy’s funeral but will not be allowed to issue hypocritical statements about the late Bishop as it will be a big mistake.

And Father Bwalya says President Banda should apologize to the nation and correct the misinformation that Father Francis Musonda, who died at the University Teaching Hospital (UTH) on Thursday, was the first Zambian native seminarian.

Father Bwalya says it is unfortunate that president Banda would claim to have known the late Catholic priest personally, even in his death, when he knows nothing about him.
