President Michael Sata’s recycled appointee as deputy minister to Northern Province Freedom Chomba Sikazwe has questioned his boss for demoting him from his post at the Ministry Gender and Child Development.
Sikzawe says he feels under-utilized by President Sata who is not offering him any challenging job by taking him back to the province where he once served.
Shortly after coming into power, President Sata appointed Sikzawe as Northern Province Deputy Minister before transferring to Lusaka Province in the same capacity.
The President later ‘elevated’ Sikazwe to the Ministry of Gender as deputy Minister.
But Sikazwe claims his recent appointment to Northern Province is not inspiring because he already worked there before.
Sikazwe was quoted on a local radio station in Kasama, Mano FM, saying President Sata should have sent him somewhere else to do a challenging job than working with the same civil servants.
“I don’t feel my coming here (to Northern Province) is challenging to me. I would have love a more challenging job,” Sikazwe remarked!
And Sikazwe has launched a scathing attack on former Defence Minister Geoffrey Mwamba by claiming Mwamba is a liability to PF.
Sikazwe, who is spearheading the campaign to expel Mwamba from PF, said he personally delivered the petition against the Kasama lawmakers to President Sata for favourable consideration.
He boosted that the PF Central Committee, under the chairmanship of President Sata, will sit soon to expel Mwamba and cause a costly bye-election in Kasama Central constituency.
Sikazwe further warned Mwamba that his misdeeds are well known and should therefore not expect leniency from PF members over his pending expulsion from the ruling party.
