FTJ should quit active politics-Mpombo

Former Defense Minister, George Mpombo has Former President Frederick Chiluba to stay away from active politics and rise above being partisan.

Speaking in an interview in Lusaka Mpombo, who is also Kafulafuta MP, said the former head of state is reported to have been campaigning for President Rupiah Banda on the Copperbelt.

Meanwhile, the parliamentarian advised president Banda not to forgo the party elections at the MMD convention though he is the endorsed candidate for the party.

Mpombo said that once the date is set RB should support the election process at the convention to allow for legitimacy.
