GBM accuses minister Freedom Sikazwe of corruption

Kasama Central MP Geoffrey Bwalya Mwamba has accused Provincial Minister for Northern Province Freedom Sikazwe of receiving bribes from Chinese contractors.

Speaking on Radio Mano in Kasama, Mwamba, who is UPND Vice President for Administration, charged that Sikazwe is busy coercing some Chinese firms implementing projects in the province to give him ‘cuts’ from contract payments.

He said this is the reason why Minister Sikazwe is against Zambian contractors being awarded contracts in the area.

Mwamba claimed that this bribe allegation is just a tip of the ice-berg, as he is ready to reveal more corrupt activities by PF leaders including Sikazwe himself.

Mwamba has vowed to report the corrupt dealings of Sikazwe to the Anti-Corruption Commission for investigations and prosecution of Sikazwe.

He said he has a lot of information on Sikazwe’s shoddy dealings which he will expose soon.

Meanwhile, Mwamba has revealed that the PF government has unleashed police officers on him and his supporters after UPND defeated PF in Bululu ward bye-election.

He said most of his supporters are earmarked for arrest ahead of the pending Kasama Central bye-election, which he has vowed to re-contest once all issues surrounding the seat are cleared.
