GBM must also reconcile with party structures- PF Northern

A Kasama resident has questioned the decision taken by PF Kasama Central Member of Parliament Geoffrey Mwamba.

Speaking during a live phone in radio mano program dubbed Hot Issues, Abel Lombe said the purported reconciliation between GBM and President Sata will only be convincing if the parliamentarian also reconciles with the party structures in the province.

Lombe further questioned Mwamba’s reconciliation with president Sata when he still mingles with some opposition political party leaders.

Meanwhile, PF Northern Province Treasurer, Chomba Chipili has accused Kasama Central Member of Parliament Geoffrey Mwamba of losing focus.

In a telephone interview from Lusaka, Chipili wondered why GBM wants to pretend that he resigned as Defence Minister due to perceived differences with Wynter Kabimba.

Chipili said the dramatic turn of events shows that the Kasama central lawmaker did not resign on the basis that he wanted to side with the Bemba royal family regarding the recognition of Henry Kanyanta Sosala.

He has since questioned the credibility of Mwamba’s advisors.

During a live progamme on Radio Mano on Saturday, GBM said he was ready to serve in cabinet if presidents Sata offered him a position.

Mwamba however denied commenting of the impasse between President and Chitimukulu the designate Henry Kanyanta Sosala.
He added that President Sata will decide when to recognize Henry Kanyanta Sosala as paramount Chief Chitimukulu at an appropriate time.

But on Monday, 23rd December, 2013, PF Kasama Central Member of Parliament, Geoffrey Bwalya Mwamba stated that his decision to step down as Defence Minister follows an ultimatum given to him by the president over Chitimukulu designate, Henry Kanyanta Sosala.

Mwamba charged that he will remain a Member of Parliament for Kasama Central.
