GBM u-turns on resignation as MP

Geoffrey Bwalya Mwamba plans to rescind his resignation as Member of Parliament for Kasama, the Watchdog has been told.
Mwamba, known as GBM Thursday wrote to PF president Michael Sata stating that he was quitting as MP.
But GBM has not written to the Speaker of the National Assembly even though the letter to Sata indicated that it was copied to the speaker.
The Watchdog has learned that GBM will renounce his resignation once he travels to Kasama.
He will claim that his electorates in Kasama have persuaded him to stay on as their MP.
The normal procedure to resign as MP in Zambia is to formally write to the speaker and not any other body or person.
GBM has a case of assault at Woodlands police station in Lusaka.
