Foreign Affairs minister Given Lubinda’s daughter Namakau late Friday night in a drunken stupor bashed and damaged a vehicle belonging to the Zambia farmers union (ZNFU).
The accident happened around 23 hours and eye witnesses say a Victor Malumani who was driving the ZNFU vehicle was almost killed. The victim is hospitalised at UTH.
Drunken Namakau is said to have ignored red lights at St. Mary’s traffic lights in Lusaka and ended up bashing the Nissan Hardbody belonging to ZNFU. She was driving a Honda. The traffic lights were also damaged after Namkau’s vehicle rammed into them.
Both vehicles are packed at Woodlands police station but police are reportedly having difficult charging the minister’s daughter.
