Government orders police to release copper thieves

PF minister of information Chishimba Kambwili has ordered the police to release the Jerabos (copper thieves) who were caught stealing cables last week.

The Watchdog has been informed that the copper thieves who include Kanama, Chibu and other criminals were released a day after they were arrested.

According sources in the police, Chishimba Kambwili told the police to release ‘my boys’ and told the police that by arresting ‘PF businessmen’, they were working for the opposition.

Kambwili further told the police that the individuals they arrested make financial contributions to the PF and that president Edgar Lungu would not be happy to hear that they have been arrested.

When one bandit and well known jerabo Youngson Kalobo died last year, Kambwili was the chief mourner.
