Using government resources, the musicians who sung and danced for President Edgar Lungu during the 2016 Presidential campaigns have been promised to be bought vehicles as a condition for them to start singing songs in support of Lungu’s third term Presidential bid.
A source close to State house has disclosed that initially Jordan Katembula alias JK, who did the ‘Dununa reverse’ anthem was dribbled as he was only paid K200,000 contrary to the K500,000 he bargained for. However JK managed to have his wife secure a job in Zesco in spite of not having the suitable qualifications.
It is this enticement of vehicles that managed to get Chama Fumba aka Pilato to shift his mind and go and plead with Lungu because Lungu’s campaigners feared that Pilato’s Poetry would be destructive to the third term bid.
Meanwhile former UPND cadre Edwin Lifwekelo has faced another set back in the PF after his name to be appointed as Deputy Permanent secretary in the ministry of information was rejected by Lungu’s inner circle for fear that he was not trustworthy.
Information emerged that while he was still UPND deputy spokesperson, Lifwekelo was double dealing and acting as a courier of information he could lay his hands on in the UPND to PF campaign camp. In this dishonesty scheme he was working Emmanuel Mwamba and Anthony Mukwita, the two PF crooks currently serving as High commissioners in South Africa and Sweden respectively.
It is not clear whether Lungu will impose Lifwekelo against the will of his insiders.
