Vice president Guys Scott says government will issue a statement on which company is renovating State House.
This follows revelations that Finance minister Alexander Chikwanda’s company Apollo Enterprises has been single sourced and awarded contracts to renovate State House and other government buildings.
On Friday, Nalikwanda MP Geoffrey Lungwangwa asked Scott in parliament to tell the House which contractor had been engaged to renovate State House.
In response, Scott said a comprehensive statement will be issued by the minister of Works. He did not say when it will be issued.
President Sata is still staying at his private house in Rhodes Park because State House is undergoing renovations.
On November 12, Gregory Chifire told the Watchdog that farmers across the country have not been paid for the Crops they supplied to the Food Reserve Agency (FRA) because the Patriotic Front (PF) Government has diverted money meant to pay farmers for the 2010/2011 farming season to give Finance Minister, Alexander Chikwanda’s Company Apollo Enterprises that was corruptly awarded a tender to refurbish State House.
