Govt revokes Muntembo’s contract as public prosecutor

The government has revoked Lusaka based lawyer Mutembo Nchito’s contract as public prosecutor.

Governement has also terminated the prosecution contract of MNB & partners which was entered into under the Task Force on Corruption arrangement.

The Watchdog has been informed that this follows the completion of the audit and reorgansiation of fusing the disbanded Task Force into the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC).

The Nchito brothers who run the MNB law firm were appointed in 2002 to prosecute corruption allegations against former president Fredrick  Chiluba.
