Grand Coalition vows to de-campaign PF

The Grand Coalition on the Campaign for a People Driven Constitution has vowed to aggressively de-campaign the ruling Patriotic Front in 2016 for refusing to respect the wishes of the Zambian people over the enactment of the new republican constitution.
Speaking during a media briefing on behalf of the Coalition today, Operation Young Vote Executive Director Guess Nyirenda says the PF should brace themselves for a more precise crusade than the one witnessed during the presidential election early this year.
Mr. Nyirenda says the Coalition will be unstoppable next year adding that they intend to go around the country telling women how the ruling party has betrayed them by leaving out the Bill of Rights in the republican constitution.
And Grand Coalition member Judith Mulenga disclosed at the same media briefing that the coalition will support a political party that will promise to deliver a people driven constitution.
Ms. Mulenga who is also Zambia Civic Education Executive Director says as far as the Grand Coalition is concerned Zambia still does not have a new constitution.
Speaking earlier, Grand Coalition vice Chairperson Sarah Longwe said time for the ruling PF to account for its deeds is fast approaching.
Ms. Longwe who is also Non Governmental Organizations Coordinating Council (NGOCC) Chairperson says the Coalition is resolved to ensure the ruling PF accounts for its deeds.
