Nigerian football fans will have a chance to watch several African legends showcase some of the skills that made them famous and rich on July 25 at the Teslim Balogun Stadium in Lagos.
The African legends will include Ghana’s Anthony Yeboah, Tony Baffoe and Nii Lamptey; South Africa’s Phil Masinga and Lucas Radebe; Guinea’s Titi Camara and Kalusha Bwalya of Zambia.
Others include Youssouf Fofana and Abdoulaye Troare from the Ivory Coast as well as Cameroon’s Roger Milla and Stephen Tawtaw.
One of the organisers of the event told Goal.com this African selection will do battle with a Nigerian team made up of players who featured at the 1994 and 1998 World Cups.
The Nigerian stars who have confirmed their presence for this promotional game include Uche Okechukwu, Taribo West, Victor Ikpeba, Austin ‘Jay Jay’ Okocha, Daniel Amokachi and Tijjani Babangida
The appearance fee for each player has been fixed at $5,000.
