Guy Scott retreats as he rescinds decision to fire Lungu

Acting President Guy Scott has rescinded his decision to fire Edgar Lungu as Secretary General for the Patriotic Front.
Scott disclosed the development at his residence after a protracted meeting with cabinet ministers and central committee members.
Scott said the central committee will meet after President Sata’s burial to elect a presidential candidate for the Patriotic Front and assured that the party’s procedures will be followed as outlined in the party constitution.
The meeting which lasted for over two hours was held at Guy Scott’s residence in State Lodge area.
Among those in attendance were Sports Minister Chishimba Kambwili, PF Deputy Seretary General Bridget Attanga, Willie Nsanda, Geoffrey Mwamba,Jean Kapata and cartel member Miles Sampa.
Others were former Munali member of parliament Mumbi Phiri, Inonge Wina, Mulenga Sata and Emanuel Chenda.
