The ruling Movement for Multiparty Democracy MMD says the People of Southern Province feel betrayed by United Party for National development UPND President Hakainde Hichilema for failing to properly run the affairs of the Party like the way late Party President Anderson Mazoka ran it.
MMD National Chairman Michael Mabenga says Mr Hichilema has resorted to sell the Party to the Patriotic Front.
Mr Mabenga says it is for this reason that the PF/UPND pact will not work because it the people of Southern Province feel betrayed by the decision of Mr Hichilema to sell the Party to the Patriotic Front.
He claims that the people of Southern Province have vowed not to vote for Patriotic Front Leader Michael Sata if he is the one who is going to contest the presidency on behalf of the pact.
Mr Mabenga adds that it is also clear that the people of Northern Province cannot vote for Mr Haikainde Hichilema in the event he was the pact’s candidate.
