Headmen get injunction against chief Shakumbila

Headmen and local people have been granted and  Interim Injunction to stop   corrupt Chief Shakumbila from selling the land to foreigners

    This is wonderful news. The chiefdoms are the customary commons, belonging to the villagers resident there. The chief cannot just decide to alienate the land. The land can never be for sale, to be alienated. It is the villagers’ land. It is also the only stable system which will protect Zambia from the climate catastrophe, or the kleptocratic leadership of Big Man. The land must be protected for the ‘living ancestors’.
