Opposition united party for national Development (UPND) President Hakainde Hichilema has accuses President Rupiah Banda of nepotism following his appointment of Lundazi Member of Parliament Mkondo Lungu as Minister of Home Affairs.
President Banda last week demoted Lameck Mangani to the position of Science and technology Deputy Minister and replaced him with Mr. Lungu.
The opposition leader was speaking at the Lusaka International Airport shortly after arriving from the United States of America.
Mr Hichilema was
in America for a two week training course on governance, security and leadership.
Meanwhile, Mr. Hichilema says he will soon meet newly appointed Home Affairs Minister Mkondo Lungu to discuss the just ended Mufumbwe by-election and see how it can help in the soon to be announced Luena parliamentary by-election.
Mr Hichilema says meeting the Minister will be vital as it will help reduce the violence which marred the Mufumbwe poll.
The Luena seat has since fallen vacant following the resignation of the incumbent Charles Milupi who has since formed his own party, the Alliance for Development and Democracy (ADD).
