United Party for National Development (UPND) President Hakainde Hichilema has accused President Michael Sata of running the country in a dictatorship manner.
Speaking at a press briefing, Hichilema charged that the introduction of new ministries and abolishment of some without parliament approval was wrong as it was decided only by the head of state.
He claimed that President Sata is abusing his presidential powers by hiring and firing parastatal workers at his convenience.
Hichilema said it is surprising that the removal of the position of the Secretary of the Treasury was announced by the head of state, only to be disputed by the Vice President, Guy Scott in parliament.
The UPND leader further said it is vital for the President to consult as some the decisions being made can be termed as illegal as they have no approval from the National Assembly.
