UPND leader Hakainde Hichilema says the PF/UPND pact has not yet agreed on who will be their presidential candidate in 2011.
Hichilema was reacting to remarks by vice president George Kunda that he, Hichilema, was in Solwezi to campaign for Michael Sata.
Hichilema told Lusaka based Hot fm Radio that he was camapaigning for the pact to remove MMD from power.
“Hakainde is not campaigning for Sata and Sata is not campaigning for Hakainde,” he said.
Hichilema said that when the PF and UPND will at the right time meet to chose who will be there candidate.
Hichilema said wondered why Kunda was attacking him when the pact has not chosen a candidate.
He suggested that Kunda and the MMD were panicking over the pact.
Hichilema also said that the MMD should prepare for a surprise outcome in the Solwezi parliamentary bye-election.
