HH pleads not guilty, taken back to jail

 

UPND leader Hakainde Hichilema and his co-accused have pleaded not guilty to the trumped up charge of treason.

For the first time DPP Lillian Siyunyi was leading the prosecutions team in person.

The matter has since bee amounted to Wednesday for commencement of trial. HH and co-victims have since been taken back to jail.
Reuters yesterday had reported that the government plans to drop treason charges against Hichilema and five others.
