United Party for National Development (UPND) President Hakainde Hichilema has attributed the continued deaths of people through curable diseases in the country to lack of administrative skills and leadership foresight by the MMD leadership.
Mr Hichilema said it was sad that people were dying from incidences that could be prevented had the MMD government placed the need of the people as its priorities.
Speaking when he received more than 600 defectors from the MMD and Patriotic Front in Chawama yesterday, the UPND leader said it was time for the country to realize its potential by voting for real change in this year’s elections in order to accelerate development.
He said his real change campaign program which has seen him tour most parts of the country is not aimed at providing positions to a few individuals but rather accelerate service delivery to all parts of the country.
He called on Zambians to realize that change is inevitable hence the need to rise in numbers and remove the MMD government from power as it has run out of governance and economic development ideas.
