The United Party for National Development (UPND) says the sustainability of every society is anchored on the young people.
Speaking at an investiture ceremony of about 5,000 Seventh Day Adventist (SDA) Church youths in Chongwe, UPND leader Hakainde Hichilema says it is for this reason that young people must be fully prepared for future challenges.
Mr. Hichilema notes that in the bible, it was young people who were used in the establishment of great nations and spreading the good news.
And SDA National youth Director Pastor Rueben Muyunda urged the youths to be peacemakers ahead of the fourth coming tripartite elections.
Pastor Muyunda says young people should avoid being symbols of embarrassment in the country.
