HH set to file nomination Friday at 15 hours

UPND Presidential candidate Hakainde Hichilema is scheduled to file his nomination for the upcoming 11 August 2016 polls at Mulungushi Conference Centre at 1500 on Friday 3rd June, along with his running mate.

Mr. Hichilema’s campaign is strongly focused on the UPND’s 10 Point Plan to fix the country and deliver economic liberation for each and every Zambian. His message to the people of Zambia is that by uniting behind good leadership we can prosper, and that by uniting behind a leader who is committed to tirelessly serving the interests of the people, everyone will be able to share in the benefits of growth.

On preparing for nomination Mr. Hichilema has sent the following message to his supporters:

‘As we prepare for a big day tomorrow I want to thank all our supporters and party members for their efforts. It has been a busy week but next week will be busier still as we tour the country, and come August 12th we expect to be this busy every week serving the interests of the Zambian people.

Our call this evening is for unity. There are many talents in our team and we can achieve a lot together. This should not be about any one person’s position or title, but it has to be about the progress we can make as a team for the betterment of our nation. We have to put personal interest aside if we want to develop our country and build a future in which every child, no matter their gender, tribe or financial status is able to have the same opportunities in life and look forward to a bright future.

‘For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline.’

2 Timothy 1:7

God bless.’

The nomination filing will be covered live on Muvi TV at 1500, followed by an interview on Muvi with Mr. Hichilema at 1900.
