HH tells Mongu residents that Zambia continues being poor because of PF

United Party for National Development (UPND) Leader Hakainde Hichilema says Zambia have continued being poor because of bad leadership by the Patriotic Front government led by President Michael Sata.

Mr. Hichilema said  this in Mongu over the weekend when he addressed supporters and scores  of local residents who turned up in large number to have a glimpse of him at a hotel he was lodging at in Mongu.
And the entire MMD provincial and district leadership in Mongu, Western province have defected to the UPND. The UPND leader also received a number of PF leaders and supporters who have defected from their party to join the UPND.
Meanwhile, the opposition leader says Barotseland is not poor because it has numerous natural resources such as water, sand and forestry that can be utilized to better the economy.
And Mr. Hichilema has accused President Michael Sata of taking Zambia to a one party state.
He described President Sata as a brutal leader and dictator who is only giving jobs to his relatives.
Mr. Hichilema has since urged people of Barotseland to rally behind the UPND if tangible development is to seen in the area in future.
His visit to the region comes barely in a period of about a month since his recent visit in which he was refused permission to visit the Barotse activists who were remanded for tearing copies of the draft constitution.
In his tour of the region, the UPND leader has visited Kaoma district and is today visiting Senanga district.
