The UPND Lawyers have recused themselves from hearing the Constitutional Court presidential petition due to the uncivilised, brutal, unconstitutional, partisan, and generally stupid way the judges have conducted themselves.
Meanwhile the Constitutional court has asked the UPND President Hakainde Hichilema, his running mate and the Lawyers to echo their sentiments on the computation of time in a short while.
The court has allowed Mr. Hichilema and his officials time to give their stance and direction on issues pertaining to computation of time which was misguided by Judge Ann Mwewa.
Earlier, the UPND President Hakainde Hichilema was called upon in the chambers to give a statement following the refusal by PF lawyers to extend time for trials to the next day.
During his statement, Mr. Hichilema wondered why one judge had taken a center stage in deciding the way forward for the whole petition process.
The UPND President says the decision taken by the court not to ensure that justice is upheld is detrimental to democratic tenets with serious repurcations.
Earlier the court had guided that for justice to be appreciated, computation of time must be extended especially that UPND had several witnesses but this guidance was later set aside by the judges in what Mr. Hichilema said there is seemingly a predetermined decision.
Mr. Hichilema and his running mate will shortly be appearing in the chambers after the court asked to hear from them.
