Opposition UPND president Hakainde Hichilema and some more UPND leaders have also been arrested in Livingstone on orders from President Michael Sata.
Senior UPND member Douglas Siakalima who has just arrived in Livingstone has also been arrested together with all the security personal for Mr. Hichilema.
Police arrested Mr. Hichilema after surrounding the lodge he was staying and forced their way inside.
The UPND leaders are all likely to be slapped with a murder charge, which if upheld, carries a death penalty in Zambia laws.
The charge results from the death of the PF cadre who invaded the UPND camp last night.
Mr. Hichilema and other opposition leaders in Zambia are already facing many other charges from the PF police brutality with instructions from president Sata.
Last week, Mr. Sata released what he termed as a dossier of Mr. Hakainde’s wealthy which he claimed was stolen and would also report him to the Commonwealth.
And other UPND leaders and cadres and currently on their way to Livingstone to attend to the situation.
