The High Court has ordered ZRA to return all records and property it collected from The Post in yesterday’s day-long raid. This is contained in an order issued by Judge Sikazwe in Lusaka after hearing from Post’s lawyers (Nchinto & Nchito and Fynold Mufwaafwi).
The order also stops ZRA levying any distress before the court case on the matter is disposed of in the Supreme Court.
The High Court said the ZRA was granted a warranty to only inspect the Post newspaper premises but not get anything from there. In law, every word matters and can change everything. We wonder who the lawyer for ZRA is?
But the Post is advised to be careful with the property to be returned as it might be contaminated with poison and or inserted with spy gadgets.
