High court summons Kaizer Zulu for assault, false imprisonments


Victims of robbery and brutality committed by State House Special Assistant for Politics, Kaizer Zulu have sued him and the Attorney General in the Lusaka High Court.

Bernard Nshindo, Sengelwayo Jere, Saul Maskoti and Mason Mweemba who were robbed, abducted, brutalized and beaten by Kaizer Zulu and his thugs, have filed a lawsuit in the Lusaka High Court seeking claims of damages.

Zulu has been sued alongside his cohorts that participated in the criminality; Mpangwe Kachingwe, Raffiq Rashid, Bella Mwanza and the Attorney General(for the Zambia Police).

The operators of Chita lodge where the crimes were committed from have also been sued. Gunshots were fired at Chita lodge by Zulu and gang.

The four are also seeking damages for false imprisonment, kidnapping and unlawful detention.

They are also seeking further damages for; assault and battery, nervous shock and larceny(theft of personal property).

They are further seeking an order to restrain Kaizer Zulu and Raffiq Rashid from issueing threats on them.

On the evening of Saturday 7th September 2019, Zulu and his boys abducted and severely beat up the four victims claiming they were “assasins”.

The four were bundled to Kafue Police Station and later taken to Lusaka Central Police Station.

They were locked up and detained for four days and were released without charges.

Todate, the Police have refused to take statements from the victims despite obtaining medical records.

The Police have also failed to proceed to arrest Zulu for his acts of kidnapping, assault and theft of their property.

Their money, phones and laptops were also confiscated by Zulu.
